Concealed identity rep or not?

I can see both points of view for having your identity concealed. Personally i think it should not be concealed though. What are your thoughts on the point?

hhmm...that first vote for conceal was me accidentally (meant to hit "dont conceal"!!)

So i suppose there may be a case for people accidentally clicking their own ads! lol

Yet another reputation thread, its a forum thing

 

Here's why.

1st the reputation system is useful, but in other ways it's in shambles.

See let's say I like your post. I green rep you and leave a sig. You know it's me.

Now let's say I red rep you and you know it's me. Let's say your mad.

Really mad. You could theoretically continue (eventually) to red rep me because I repped you.

Then everyone's red repping everyone, because they're mad and you kind of lose the whole point of the repping system.

Consealing it makes the whole system a bit pointless. Like Skinny said, every time you red rep someone they will get you back.

 

I think if you're going to go to the trouble to rep someone (green or red), you should sign it. Stand behind what you think.

 

Shawn has already said it isn't changing in that regard...It would actually be scrapped completely before that.

If somebody is racist or threatening, report it

Otherwise, deal with it

i did get lots of red for this, not entirely sure why - mostly from people saying conceal - which is strange coz from the poll more people want it not concealed!

All this will lead to is attacks on rep. If you like we can just sign your name to the reps and see how you like the kickback.

think this sums up this thread perfectly. Personally I wish I had never started it. I have had a whole bunch of red reps.

Not sure if starting this thread deserved all the red i got....but *please* close it cause im getting lots of reds.....free speech is rubbish anyway. lol
