---------->Computer TRoubles HELP ME<--------------

Hello there I am experienceing some serious trouble with my new laptop. Let me tell you what I did, the first thing I did was download windows black xp instead of burning the files to a disk I though it would just reboot and finish installing, WRONG I needed to burn the files to the disk. Okay so not too bad right, well no because before trying to install wondows xp black it deleted the old xp version so now I have no operating system on my laptop :mad...I need help major help I am donwloading linux here the iso file and going to try and burn it to a cd or usb stick and see if I can get an operating system going on it....Any ideas if this will work or suggestions of what else I can do if it does not...Thank you, also I have the windows xp key if your resolution needs it....Thanks please help me

 

Did you get the back up disk with it or was it on the other half of the hard drive? What kind of top is it?

Lol nope I can not get into that all I can do is get a list of things to boot it from or else if I do not choose to boot it for a device it just goes to a screen saying windows xp (this does not work as all the files are deleted in it) or install windows xp (can't do that because do not have a disk with the files on it)....
