Hey guys. I'm always up with the latest hardware and currently developing a thread that has the best computers you can get now and there prices and from where you can buy it. I'll be splitting them down into categories under what the computer will be used for and the budget! So there will be: HTPC Gaming computers Budget computers File servers 3D Modelling computers Energy efficient computers Multi-Task computers Video Editing computers Graphic Design computer Virtual System Computers Before I start I want to know if people want this and also if a MOD would turn the list into a sticky so many people can see it. I thought this would be a easier way for people to choose what computer they want without actually making a thread Thanks
Awesome. Yeah that would be great. We can do it together. Also, I was thinking of using Newegg, so all the prices you would see would be from Newegg. It's huge and most users who use digital point are from US. Also if your somewhere else around the world, you just use the same parts but the prices just might be cheaper or more expensive! So just waiting for confirmation from MOD and me and UKGC will start.
I don;t think that's going to happen. 1) It'll be quickly outdated, 2) where you buy it from also depends on where on the planet you're at and 3) it's really a personal opinion on what is "best" and what's the "best" for you isn;t for someone else.
Well, when things usually come out, many people don't buy them instantly because there isn't many reviews or benchmarks. That's why its not that hard to stay up with the latest hardware cause even if you don't edit something for 2 weeks and something gets released, you still have a while to make a decision to put it in the sticky! Yes everyone is from around the world, that's why we could make prices from Amazon which is global. Or we could have a currency converter on the sticky! Well, I am trying to make it not really opinionated. Every computer will be made on reviews and benchmarks, and technical will be the best for its categories. All computers will be put into there respective categories based on: Performance Price Future Proof Stability EDIT: After emailing a mod, I can still do this idea, but it won't be turned into a sticky. I'll still make it if people want me to. Just need more numbers agreeing with this idea!
Totally agree with this. Technology changes so fast, you would constantly have to update the sticky, and I just don't see that many of those threads to make it worth it. I have also come to realize what I think is a good PC, somebody else may not. Too many factors to consider....
