Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but since its related to graphics I thought it would fit in here. I'm wondering what pens for computers are called.. ones that you can use on a tabblad outside of the laptop to draw images. I've heard of it somewhere but I couldn't come up with the name. Do they work on all newer laptops and will Flash & Photoshop be able to handle them?
Yeah.. one of those pens they use for PDA's but then with a seperate screen so it can work on a laptop that isn't a tablet one.
Yes Graphic Tablet! That's the word I was looking for. Could I connect those to a laptop and will the images I draw work in photoshop and flash?
I'm pretty sure you can. My sister does graphic design and she's got one that I've seen her use in photoshop. It looks like it acts just like any other input device such as a mouse.
I have no idea I'll get it for my birthday tomorrow so I'll figure out then. If this is just like regular pen/paper then I think its the best invention ever! Using scanners to store drawings on the computer and copy them to photoshop is such a pain.
Not just vector. They work for raster (bitmapped) images as well : ) A good one can replace the mouse, too.
wow..that's awesome.. I wish I have that Tablet for my birthday..but..too expensive in my country.. only a serious designer would have that tablet..I want it to one day..Wish you happy birthday..
Just got the tablet.. at first I was disappointed because it was really hard to use but once I changed the settings it worked great! Can't imagine my life without it anymore
As a photographer,I use Wacom Tablet pen. It's an ultimate tool for graphic artists and those who draw in photoshop. You can't call yourself an artist if you use a mouse to draw stuff on a pc. After using it for over a year,I can't even force myself to use a mouse for any photoshop functions. I still use it for all other windows applications though.
