Hey guys, couldn't find a better section for this...

So I've been using my macbook for a while now (got it in 09), and it's gotten super slow, and everything keeps going out on it. So i decided it was time to get a new laptop.

I don't have a bunch of money to spend, so i picked out something in the 500-600$ range.

It looked good at the store all the windows tile colors and what not. Then i get home open up a web browser and notice everything looks dull/almost grey. All the vibrance is gone, and theres a whole range of colors i can't see. for example, i went to my page, robbyk.com and that first portfolio piece looked grey. Could not see the yellowish tannish color at all...

Even the resolution looked shitty. it was a 15.something screen and the max-resolution was like to small for it, everything looks not as crisp.

I know macbooks have a better screen but its like a major difference...

Anyway I'm going to exchange it tomorrow does anyone know what to look for for a good display on a laptop?

Is the brightness at the max? Also, doubt the price range has to do with much, many laptops at that price offer great quality, even better than mac books.

    1. Response time: 5ms or less should be fine.
    2. Viewing Angle : 150-160 degree and above is fine in any angle.

Maybe you should try updating the GPU drivers to the most current one?

What up guys, here was the problem...

I was used to the high quality IPS screens, apple uses on their products. The average windows laptop uses shitty screens that have way worse color accuracy.
