Thanks for replay. I will plan to create blog post using all tips provided by this forum that help others. Post more idea for reduce eye stress.
Eye Yoga... yea, I know it sounds weird. Basically what you do is turn away from your screen and close your eyes. Then slowly look up, then down, then to your far left, then the far right, than the upper left corner, the lower right corner, the upper right corner, the lower left corner. Then roll your eyes clockwise slowly and then counterclockwise slowly. I don't remember where I read it, but apparently by doing this you get your eye to stay exercised if you will. It relieves some of the strain from looking just straight ahead.
Buy an LCD monitor, wear a plain glass, get your eyes away from screen after every 20 min during your work and look objects which are far from you; good exercise.
Got agree on the LCD monitor part.... back in high school (2000 - 2004), I played video games on a CRT monitor. When I went to go get my drivers license, I failed the sight seeing test. I believe it was because I spent a lot of hours looking through the CRT monitor. Well to make a long story short, I got a newer computer and change monitors from CRT to LCD. I have not change my glasses strength since then. I am now a web designer working sometimes 10 - 15 hours a day and also being a full time college student. Like suggested above, look away from the monitor every once in a while.... it will save your eyes!!!!!!!
I would say for every hour, take a five to ten minute break. Then after about 6-8 hours, take a few hours off to do something else. Resting the eyes does have its importance.
Working on a computer create any blindness future. any idea about it. i am affraid with my eye problem. Doctor tell me i have any eye problem.
LCD monitors comes in varies sizes with varies prices. So its kinda hard to answer your question. This might be true, but if you practice what jkrish41 suggest.... it will be a LONGGGGGGGGG duration.
Turn the brightness down on your moniter. If it still hurts your eyes, turn the contrast down as well. I do this. :]
LCD monitors. Play some good music, put an aquarium with many cute looking fish. Make your room neat and clean including your desk.... Its all psychological factors... You will feel better every time.
