Here's are some arguments that a couple ofmy fellow business owners had during a 'philosophical' forum; I'd like some opinions:

1.)There is a laptop that supposedly 'crashed', meaning the Microsoft Office doesn't work anymore (like the error saying that 'there is not enough memory to run it'). Does this mean the employee who uses that company's laptop could be charged for damage?

2.) A laptop which had 'years' of research & documents (though none of which are ever used) were deleted by an employee, unknowing the importance of the documents. Luckily, there are back-ups of the documents. Can the employee still be charged for anything?

3.) If a company has no contracted-rules (meaning, a paper, signature-bounded contract) for an employee's usage of company's property (i.e. a laptop), and an employee takes the laptop with permission home, but the employee has it at their home for a long period, can the employee be at fault for anything?

    Again, your opinions are welcomed!
