Hi Forum. I'm not totally sure if this is the right place to post, but it's the best i could find As many of you are aware, there computer illiteracy figures for so many adults are appalling, despite almost every home owning at least one PC. This lack of basic understanding results in so many constant cock-ups and frustrations that it has to be unhealthy. In fact, computers are perhaps responsible now for causing more arguments and upsets in the home than any other gadget! So what's my point? Ok, I'm frequently getting middle aged people, and older, asking me for help with computer basics. Most of these folks don't understand help files and seem unable to understand online tutorials. They want someone to sit down with them and explain the fundamentals of moving around a PC as if they were 5 year olds. So what I'm looking for, if anyone can point me in the right direction, is a printable guide to the basics of using IT. Something similar perhaps to an NVQ level 1 for any Brits reading this? From it, I will tailor make a course of series of courses for the various levels of learners. I have spent a couple of days scouring the web, and have found plenty of CBT style programs, and pricey test papers, but nothing which covers the ABC's of using a computer. i.e. This is a window. At the top we have what is called the title bar, and other such introductory stuff... Any pointers much appreciated guys Thanks in advance aNdii
