I am completely new to SEO and pretty much most other aspects of creating web pages etc. I am very computer literate though so i can get my head around it quickly i hope! Anyways I have thought of some promising key words and ideas that i can build web pages around with good content, and i was loking or some advice on how to get the ball rolling. Which software i should use to build my page and how to get my page recognized. bear with me b/c i am completely new to this. any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I would recommend dreamweaver to build your website. Get the layout of the site designed first and then create the individual pages. Once the site is up and running, you should submit to some free directories to get some links pointing to your site so the search engines will index it. Thats when you will want to start the serious link building and promoting of the website.
how do you promote websites? when you post at classified ads is this how to you promote websites? im also quite confused about the fresh contents that search engines crave for... few things i know about are blogging, article submission, etc... im confused about how fresh contents affects the rankings? any other ideas on how other websites to link into your website?
The type of promotion depends on what your site is. If it is a site that sells products, then you would probably want to be aggressive about doing PPC, advertising on other sites and so forth. You should also go out and try to recruit affiliates to sell your products.
