Hey all Hoping you can all share some advice with me. Basically I am looking to get into internet marketing, or rather, affiliate marketing to be precise. I know asking for help or to be pointed in the right direction when it comes to affiliate marketing is hardly original but i'm feeling slightly lost at the minute. I have been a content writer for over 3 and a half years now and I know how to build wordpress sites etc... So, I suppose, I am not completely new to that side of things. I have also been around long enough to know that a lot of the e-books and WSOs that have the title 'Make $20m in a week' (OK, bit exaggerated there but you get the point), are probably not worth the money from what I gather anyway. Indeed, I know this type of thing takes work (which I actually like) rather than simply being quickly setup, left on autopilot and then you watch as the cash rolls in. What I am really after I suppose is something that can teach me the basics of working with affiliates, getting traffic to a site, making conversions etc... especially one that is relevant after the recent Google updates. Budget wise I am fairly limited but I intend on doing a lot of the work myself (rather than outsourcing). Also, I would much rather learn how to do the techniques myself before I get to the point of outsourcing anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated here. There are so many guides out there that claim to be the best thing ever and, for someone like me who isn't exactly experienced in this field, it can be pretty overwhelming at times. No doubt there are requests for this type of thing all the time but if someone could point me in the right direction then that would be fantastic. Thanks!

I learned everything I know from Criss Farrell, he has a membership site where he teaches newcomers how to start a online business from scratch.
