    Hi,

As part of my efforts to enhance the usefulness of my directory, i've decided to incorporate a regular SEO guide in my directory's blog that will bring readers through from the very basics of SEO to more advanced topics subsequently. Just added in the very first chapter, giving detailed explanation of what SERP is and how SE handle them. It can be found here, which I hope wld be helpful for those starting out in this path. ;)

Subsequent chapters and posts will deal with the following topics:

    1. Optimizing your webpages
    2. SEO - On & Off page optimization
    3. Keyword research - A beginner's guide
    4. Keyword Analysis - How to research relevant keywords
    5. What is Sandbox Effect ?
    6. Does link popularity pay?
    7. Link popularity techniques.
    8. Planning effective Backlink strategies
    9. How duplicate content effects your search engine marketing
    10. Tips to improve Google PageRank

Do let me know what you think? Wld appreciate comments in the blog too, esp if you disagree with any part of the post! :p

No comments? Does this mean it is not very useful? :(

Anyway, 2nd chapter has now been added for SEO101. This can be found Here.

I do realize that it can be too basic for many of you, but I will slowly get to the more advanced topics and tips. For any newbies in SEO, do leave your comments or feedback in the blog. It wld be very encouraging :)

I didn't see too much in the intro seo article. However, in your website layout article you might want to consider mentioning css for formatting instead of tables. Not only is it a better tool, it can facilitate a layout that is more search engine friendly.

    All the best

With plenty of SEO related topics similar to your topics available on the web, it becomes difficult to ask someone to visit your pages. One thing you can do to get that traffic is get top rankings for related search phrases.

    Tks for your comments.

Just as a further update since this thread was started, have been regularly updating the topics in the blog. We are now embarking on SEO201!

I've tried to add more serious content since the start, and though it may still be bordering on the basics, i do hope that it will be useful to those just starting out on this path. Do leave your comments on the blog ya?

    Stay tuned for more..... :)
