Complete redesign - Please review

I just completely redesigned my site. I thought it was was too cluttered and wanted to space things out and make it more user friendly. Please take a look and tell me what you think. http://slaptear.com

Here are my opinions :

Your layout is web 2.0 design better improved your text logo also web 2.0 design, to make fit with your layout

I think better don't use the fijiweb tagbot in front page, use the tagbot on the content only because nobody will click the tagbot before they read the whole page

 

Nice layout and if you choose true colors for your adverts will be better.

 

nice, but I think you can optimize if you place google Adsense in such a way that the visitor doesn't have to scroll down for advertisments!

 

it looks nice, evcept im not to big on the header text.

I'll work on the logo and the text. I'm not really sure what to do with it, but I'll come up with something...

I definately need to work on the ad placement and colors. Any suggestions on colors? One day I read they should blend in, the next day I read that they should stand out. Which is it? I'll move them around as well, I'm trying to figure out how to move them above the fold and not lose the latest posts module...

Simple and good site. an advice you should redesign your header image.

 

I like it. The navigational bar is cool looking.

 

Thanks for the compliments! The nav bar is from www.templateplazza.com , You just have to put in your own pictures for the buttons. Highly recommended.

I created a new place for the latest posts above the main section. That lets me move the ad up the left column and now at least the top is above the fold.

I have no idea what to do with the header. I don't like the slogan I'm using.. Any ideas for the header? I have some cool MRI pics I might be able to add in... Should I get rid of the blue in the header?

Andy I think the color scheme that you've already chosen is the best. I agree with rest about the header text.

There are lot you can do for the header.

You can use logo related with medical theme like staff & snake, stethoscope etc. or use picture/photo related to medical theme like MRI (you' allready mentioned it). Or you can make text as logo, for reference visit web2logo, there are tons of samples text as logo.

For colors combination visit colorblender.com, you can use their online color combination program or pick one from already made color combinations.

Can you make the website centered, its all left aligned on my screen, i dont like websites like that.
That said, i think that links section is just awesome, love the way it moves.

 

Very good. i like it when sites give you the info they are supposed to(or lest help you find what you want to)

bnandika - Thanks for the colorblender site. I'm still trying to figure out the best combos, but I'm thinking a design using the MRI pics I have, still experimenting...

results - not sure what to say.. it seems to load fine..

buntoo - I'm betting your on firefox. I noticed that problem too, it's on my list of things too fix. I posted the link for the menu provider earlier in the thread. I wish I could take credit for it... Well at least I did the graphics for it
