Complete Newcomer to creating a website.

    I want to create a humor pictures/ videos/ game/ news website. I have no idea on how to start. I want my site to be similar to dailyhaha.com

    Where do I start and how?
    I know I need a domain and hosting.
    But I need advice and help.
    I want a rating system as well.

    Any help is appreciated ;]

    You need to have custom script for this.
    If you have coding skill then you can code it yourself else you should hire coder to code for you.

    Three (not so) simple steps:

    1. Look for suitable script on hotscripts.com
    2. Design your site.
    3. Add Content manually or get users to do it or you.

    You could download WP(Wordpress) and then add a bunch of free plugins and get something custom going!

    Nope.

    Actually check in your CPanel , Most hosts now offer an "instant" wordpress install right from the cpanel itself.

    If not, wordpress take like 30 seconds to install.

    Yes you would a domain and web hosting.

    Also if you have little to knowledge of web design and coding, it probably be a lot easier to have someone design and code the site for you if you can afford it.
