Hi all, I'm looking for a complete mailing list script to base a website on. I'm looking for quite a good all round script as the website will simply consist of the mailing list, nothing more. I'm looking for something where the users email is verified when they sign up, if an email 'bounces' a certain number of times they're removed from the list, an admin side for me to manage the list (including ability to block certain email providers and IP's preferably), good robust system where it can handle anything from 10 to 100,000 email adresses without crashing. Ideally I'd like to to be mysql based and I'd like it to be able to send lots of emails (potentially thousands) in the background without me having to sit there waiting for it to load. I'd like to be able to freely send emails as often as I like without worrying so much about server usage. Is there a script that meets most/all of these points or do I ask too much? Thanks, J
Here's a free solution for you to try. Joomla + Acajoom extension installed. You do need to worry about your server limits when planning to send a large amount of newsletters. It is not something a script would be able to control. As long as server allows a high number of outgoing emails per day, you should be fine. I know a few hosting plans that have daily limits of 1,000 emails.
