I use hostmonster.com for my site hosting and register domain name with Godaddy. What must i do next?
now in godaddy, click at manage domains from my account and change the nameservers to the hostmonster nameservers so you can host the domains you bought. Please give it 24 hours time for the web before you see any changes. When you check out your hostmonster stats you should see your site from there. Now you can host easily from hostmonster.
Here is the simple architecture Godaddy: Domain Registrar. You registrar a domain and tell the name servers responsible for translating your domain name to an IP address. You should also tell the IP that is associated with the domain. So, at Godaddy you can specify the dns server names (you need a primary and a secondary) and the IP address of your domain. You can also use the default Godaddy's name servers. And that is what I do. That way I don't have to change the name server if I move to a different hosting provider. Even if you are using Godaddy's name server, you still need to provide an IP address that is hosting your site. It is the IP address of the server where your website is located. If you don't provide an IP address, Godaddy will show a generic webpage for your domain with lots of ads Your hosting provider gives you IP address that you specify in the A name of Godaddy domain management. Now you setup your site at hosting provider. One IP address can host unlimited number of sites. If you are using a control panel to create sites at your hosting provider, you don't need to know the details of how one IP can host multiple websites.
