Perhaps they can make a sub forum under BST just for this. I NEVER do currency exchanges (as I have no need) but it's obvious a lot of people are left out in the cold over this.

    "...not to mention it's illegal."

Please do quote any law from any major country that shows this type of thing to be illegal.

I've been wrong many times and may be wrong here but I've never heard anything saying that two private individuals are prohibited from exchanging currencies.

    Thanks.

"because of many scammers" isn`t a good reason for banning an activity

many honest people with high itraders are exchanging money here with no

    scamming.

Well, I don't think he should be infracted for expressing himself, I mean, this isn't a communist website, is it? :p

Anyways, it IS a done deal, sorry man, there is nothing anyone can do about it IMO.

But... what about ppl who don't trust online exchanger sites??

Who believe more in a live person they can talk to LIVE rather than believe in a unsure exchanger site .

Cant you see that serious members here building up a relationship to other members?

And at the same time build up a thrust worthy relationship among there "new" friends

I personally do more money online on my "side company" as a exchanger than i do in my regular job..
do i want to kill that? NO

But i respect for the mods new rule and can live by that...

Anyway.. Good to see that only members above 18 in rating responded to this topic, and said there words :)

Oki we lay this dead now, as we all have said what we wanted heheh

    Mod's please close this.

If someone acted wisely in an trade and only traded with members who have high itraders , he/she would never get scammed.

someone with 50+ itraders never accepts a negative itrader for only 20-30$ scamming.

Can someone please post any law from any major country which states currency exchange is illegal.

If not could you please stop saying such activity is illegal.

People exchange currency all the time in real life, why is this illegal online ?

*As I said above, I've been wrong before and am often wrong. However people keep claiming this is illegal w/o providing any sources for their information. Please source your facts.

    Thank you

@Investor1 - Though I've never bought or sold VCC or done a currency exchange, I can empathise with you. Well, if you were making a living out of selling VCC's or through currency exchanges the only thing you can do bow is to move to some other forum to do the same. Whether we like it or not, rules are rules.

I think this decision has been taken by DP, due to the large increase of threads like "I've been scammed and mods didnt do anything abt it". They sure are irritating.

Agreed, scammers will find it slightly (about 10%?) more tougher from now on, but If you want to prevent scams totally, the only thing that can be done is remove the BST section altogether, which would be very sad indeed.

I personally feel that the iTrader and Reputation system are excellent ways to prevent scams. If people are naive enough to deal with those having very few positive iTraders, a low post count and a low rep, then no one can stop them from being scammed.
