Competitors site referring traffic?

    Hello,

I have an odd situation I am trying to figure out. I was reviewing my Analytics account and it says that a competior has referred 3 visits to our site. The referal came from their shopping cart area where people buy their products. I have attached a screen shot of the GA details.

This competitor is also a former employer who has it out for our company. They employ a tricky dick IT guy that is quite good at what he does....I am thinking the worse in that I surmise he is up to some trickery.

I just can't figure out how/why this is happening.

Any ideas as to another reason?

    Many thanks,

    Dave

Are these 'visitors' some kind of automated bot that is trying to find a hole into your site/backend via another site?
He have any knowledge in the 'hacking' IT section?
If so I'd be slightly concerned....

Might be a bot....their IT guy is real good at what he does. I am aware that his SEO practices are a bit blackhat as well.

I'm not sure where to turn....

    Cheers,
    Dave

Yeah that's a couple of times you've mentioned how good their IT guy is, and if his a little prone to Black Hat, well how good is your site security Dave?
Have you hired a hacker/security analysyst to check your site for holes? If not, I wouldn't be too concerned as he's obviously having a hard enough time getting through the front door, hence why he's trying this 'back door'.

I'd be likely to try and find someone who specialises in security and has a track record, not someone who can say, yeah I can do it for $....
These people normally only do what I'd do, and that's very basic security stuff, hire a true professional.
This is worth it, even if you find out it was something else, at least then you have piece of mind your trading (I'm guessing) site, will not be hacked.

Though maybe someone on here's been in the exact same predicament an will shed some more light on it for you mate.

Whatever it is, I've personally found security is well worth it, especially in the long run.
    All the best.

Yes, this is a couple of times I had mentioned how good the technology is the man, and if it is slightly susceptible to black hat, well how good is your security Dave?
Do you hired a hacker / analysyst Security to check your site for holes? If not, I will not be very concerned as it is clear that there is difficulty in getting enough through the front door, hence why he is trying to 'tailgate' This
