Competitors and link farming?

Though I am relatively new to the whole SEO world, the one thing I am aware of is to know where the inbound links are coming from for a particular keyword. I have been ranking 2nd on Yahoo and 4th on Bing for a particular keyword. I have been facing a lot of volatility in terms of Google since the last 6 weeks as I have been fluctuating from 7th rank to 44th rank.

My competitors have been ranking really well in Google and this makes me realize that they are involved in link farming excessively. Could I report this to Google in any way?

    Hi
A link farm is a website set up with the sole purpose of increasing the link popularity of other sites by increasing the number of incomming links to those sites. They are typically made up of long lists of unrelated links. Some link farms are created as networks of sites that contain numerous links to one another.

Nearly all search engines remove link farms from their directories when they find them. And many also penalize other sites that link to them. It is not a good idea to link to a link farm if you rely at all on organic search for pageviews

If you want to safe your website from link farming u have to remove links from your Competitors websites

    Thanks and Regards
