I have a travel website and a very nasty local competitor. The past two days I have received probably 50 spam emails that are using my email address to make comments on random blogs, sign up for trip quotes, sign up for random services - all sorts of strange things from sites around the world. Normally I would just think I was getting spammed randomly, but another friend with another local travel site just called me this morning to tell me this was happening to him as well. We suspect the evil competitor but how can we find out - and - what would be the point of doing this to us? Could he get our sites blacklisted? Strange and confusing... I can deal with annoying spam, I just want to make sure my site isn't being dinged somehow.
