Hi, I am automobile spart part manufacturer. I would like to track, in which of the sites, my competitor placed the banner ads (Both Flash & Image banner ads). How to do that?. Please Help!. Is it possible to track the competitor online Image banner ads spaces using search engines? Please Help!. Thanks in Advance
You can use Google Analytics to do this type of tracking, and also get valuable statistics of your website visitors. www.google.com/analytics
Disregard ssandecki's answer... I don't know any simple answer to your question but you can try: 1. For image banners: searching for the alt/title tags and searching for backlinks to your competitor (link:www.blah.com ) - preferably in yahoo 2. Search for some of the text in the flash banner (Google crawls flash to some extent) but you must first get hold of the flash file and extract some text from it.
