This is really seedy...paying bloggers who are strangers to post and link to his site and say nice things....is this backlinking illegal?
Is it illegal to pay strangers to put text link ads, graphical banners or Adsense ads on their blogs? I hope not because I have Adsense on my site and I'm looking around for other ways of monetizing my site also. If I could afford to pay someone to blog about my site I'd be all over it! hehe
i wont say it as bad., I do it for our company sites., whatz wrong in that?., Link from blogs really gets good value (only thing is, dont pay for same review in 100 sites, which is useless, )
Didnt Matt Cutts say Google will take link buyers to court? No wait, that was a nightmare I had last week.
I used the wrong word ( funny on the call the sheriff what's your number pal? thought that was you? ) didn't mean illegal, more like black hat seo...had this conversation w/myself already...is it different than having a web designer or secretary do your blog? yeah, cause you're doing it in mass ( wholesale) and you're paying for it, there's nothing wrong with paid advertising, BUT google wants to keep their organic SERPS PURE...so if each post is a vote, then you're buying votes and belong in PPC and wherever you land in the organics....why they're looking at integrating human edited SERPS
Yeah dont take our humor to heart, its all fun. I know what you mean that Google wants sites to have natural links and it should be the way but in reality its not as for most people to compete they need to go out and find links. We could build and build great content until we turn blue but without those first couple of valuable links to the site its just going to sit there looking pretty and the Search Engines are not even going to find it. Buying links is not really black hat but spamming links would be.
thought about it some more, and it's no different from a link farm, which is penalty, sandbox, banned from SERPS activity...getting links that automatically inflate popularity (fake) rather than improving the quality / value of his site and jamming his placement...
What nationality are the Internet Police anyway? I would like to think of them as English Bobbies. Imagine getting an email from them? "Allo, allo, allo! Wot we got ere then?"
Its not illegal, however it does give the people with money an edge over those who don't, but thats how the world works afterall IT
It's not black hat, or illegal, it's a way of increasing links to your website. Pay Per Post, is just another way to get links to your site, and if you want to keep ahead of your competition, you have to think outside of the traditional reciprocal link exchanged to keep up.
If you have the money.. it's definitely one of the easiest ways to get backlinks. You might like to try a similar strategy? Blogitive is more affordable than Payperpost I think ..
