Competitor banning

First off I'm new to Adsense.

I wanted to know what I can do to prevent competitor banning?

I have searched the forum, I have also looked at FAQs. From what I read there is really nothing you can do. Is this true? You can get banned just like that if someone comes over and starts clicking your ads? I have read that you should check your clicks and report them, but I have also read that even after doing that you can still get banned.

    Thanks

In the process of building the site, I have just been lurking the forum and reading all I can about adsense and this competitor banning thing confused me a bit.

Just check your adsense stats, if you see a huge increase in clicks take your ads offline and contact google..

if you notice any strange click stats, just make sure to inform google with any info and let them handle it.

why would someone just click on your ads for no reason? there are millions of other websites out there. you need to think of ways not get be targeted. be friendly and polite online, don't fight with anyone, dont brag about your site too much, and use your common sense. you will be safe
