Competitive SEO

Hey guys. I am a young entrepreneur, looking to target a market where the current companies have really weak SEO on just one specific product. For an example companies that sell a wide array of vintage clothing(shoes, shirts, dresses, etc.) and targeting a specific product such as just vintage shoes.
Do you think this is a good idea, to target just one specific product where there are no other companies targeting just that product? How hard could it be to beat these companies in SEO for just that one product when my company would just specialize in that product. Obviously with on and offpage optimization, but my guess is that it shouldn't be to hard.

i agree with you, what is your niche market ?

 

There are many keywords that are very specific and relate to my product. Each keyword has little competition and only a few thousand searches a month. But, there are no companies just specializing in my product. Are you saying even with on page optimization, I am not guaranteed the top spot?

 

Not an expert but that could be a good idea. if you know what your doing and have the time / money to invest in that. also before you even start check for how many potential clients you could have and check how competitive that niche is.
For example
if you picked vintage shoes .
make a simple website that sales these products then think about the exact keywords your targeting, then start a google adword account - using vouchers, then bid enough money to be on first place on google adwords. then give it 2-3 weeks and learn how many impressions this specific keywords get around 10% of these impression are usually the conversion rate and the money you could make.

Now to check how competitive the SEO would be search in google for these keyword you chose and then start researching on the first 5 google results check there on page SEO , check there links and the link quality.

and like that you'll be able to decide on which would be hard to work on, SEO wise. and what your profit might look like.

And dont go blackhat like some said here. unless your planing of making many websites, because many of the blackhat website are going to fall after a month or 2

So what you pretty much saying is that even thought I am specializing in a specific product, I still will not be guaranteed that the search engines crawl my site and put me ahead of the other companies. Assuming I sold over a hundred different shoes and the other companies sold only twenty to thirty shoes. Take that into account and all the keywords throughout the site, would it still matter how many relevevant backlinks those other companies had, etc.?

Look mate SEO is pretty simple and as much as we like google, wont like you more because you have more shoes in your store. its backlinks - quality of backlinks - relevancy of backlinks. and Onpage seo. and it doesnt matter if your website is nicer or better then theirs. if he has more of the above he will come up first.

 

did you have a nice tips to get website top 10 rank in google ?, and why blackhat website down after 2 months ?

 

Simply because google will catch up to the black hated website and simply remove them from there index - and no dont have a tip for to 10 ranking just do SEO according google rules and you'll eventually get to top 10

there is no blackhat website or not. there is Blackhat SEO - people that promote their website with blackhat techniques, and i wont specify. there are many website that teach blackhat.

 

how about backlink,buy text link is includes blackhat ?

 

Everyone buy backlinks without it you wont be able to do much of a seo

Although buying links is a black hat seo tactics but no matter with it because Search Engine doesn't know that the link is free or paid.

 

There are many factors which can be considered while starting a new business.. If you would like to test the waters then you can start with PPC and then check for the more keywords which users are looking out for your product.. then you can start targeting the SEO related keywords.

Also remember, the more quality backlinks you have the great SERP's and results you will get.

 

I think you're own board with almost everyone here. Every SEO company is looking to hit that specific niche within their field and find customers.
