Competitive Ad Filter is a Crock of S&*(!

I have a page on one of my sites that I am constantly checking for MFA advertising . I finally got a list, based on observation, about 140 sites long, and plugged it into my Competitive Ad Filter.

But, lo and behold, I still get ads from some of those sites I blocked, I mean, I blocked these sites WEEKS ago. But, they are STILL on my pages. What's up with that? Is Google just saying "screw you, we'll plug in what we want, C.A.F. be damned?"

Are you blocking the whole domain?

    I.E. ebay.com

Or are you just doing 1 page of the domain

    I.E. ebay.com/auction.php

I found that blocking the whole domain is best. Don't add the http:// or the www. though just the domain itself.

Yeah, I'm doing all that, blocking whole domain, no www. Same result.

you should send an email to Adsense Support and ask them what's going on.. then, post the response here for us..
I have never had a problem using the ad-filter.. maybe yours is just broke..

Yes the same thing is happening to me. I figure it might take a day or maybe even more before the filter has effect. Either that or the filter is useless.

I understand, according to Google, the C.A.F. will take about 4 hours to kick in. But like I said, there are ads which I've had on for weeks that still get through.

I get this a lot. What it is on my site is the same server/site with several domains. In the adsense banner they all read as aaa.com but some of them are redirected to bbb.com or are just bbb.com to start with. If you have adwords you know what I am talking about. It sucks. You may want to check if that is whats happening.

you must take screen grabs of the offending pages, or adsense support won't do squat to fix the problem.
