How do you know which ones are paying low and which are paying high? Surely that info is only known to Google?

Even if you screen out the low paid ads, the replacing ads will be even much lower-paid. Correct me if I am wrong.

I dont think that Guides are a bad Ad. I agree on gold sellers and bots, but MMORPG guides should be ok

A lot of the "mmorpg guides" sites contain exploits.

Unfortunately there is not enough room in the 200 blocked url allowance on the ad filter to block all of those kind of sites. There are too many of them. If you run a site for a popular game such as wow, gw of L2 you might as well forget about adsense if you don't want currency ads. These days I have to make do with blocking ads directed specifically at the games my sites are about and put up with ads for other games. Adsense cpc is just not an option on a general all game mmo site.

Anyhow here's my current blocked list.

I had the same problem with my website. I first tried adsense and specifically put in the preferences not to have gold selling sites. Adsense advertised the gold sellers anyways. It was a problem. What Ive done now is made my own code in a three tiered fashion. A permenant code which is on all pages, A rotating code from a list and a targeted code which is targeted to the content of a specific page.

However, because excluding Gold selling and leveling services leaves you with pretty much nothing left..I moved to making the bulk of my adverts as Guides along with Amazon.com. Specifically killerguides is the one I use. I do see that they have some Bots, but I dont advertise those, just the guides which seem reputable. In the end, i suppose its a choice of the lesser evil.

Amazon.com is certainly reputable...but it brings in absolutly NO conversions. Fact is, trying to sell a game, ON a Gaming website just doesnt seem to work.
