    What is the best way to discover the keywords being targeted by my competition? Google Keyword Tool? SEO Book Toolbar? SpyFu?

    these ar those keywords on which you get traffic and have competitior to compete and after submission and social bookmarkin ,when the crawler index your site it tackles all the other links and your link is optimized .

    I am looking for the best way to determine what keywords the competitors are optimizing for.

    Will the Keyword Winner SEO plugin help me with that?

    Unfortunately I didn't use Seobook so can't tell something about it , GKT - though it's free, but do not tell much from what may spayfu or semrush, by the way the last one is one of the cheapest services for researching keywords and competitors.

    I've done some research on this. If you search for specific phrases with Google kw tool exact match you can get the competition stats and then determine if you want to go after that keyword phrase.

    The best to keyword discover is Google adword keyword tools by competition also used for Google Trandz, Google Insight for better discovery of keyword.

    All of them in fact. Also type in the keyword for which you want to rank for in Google and then you can also analyse what the top 10 sites shown on page 1 are doing. Quick and easy.
