Hi, I am planning to start a website "marketplace of freelancers & services" similar to seoclerks.com, peopleperhour.com, fiverr.com & many more such sites. I just want to know is it possible to compete with such sites within 6 months - 1 year period of time. Because seoclerks.com is the most recent site among them & recently completed more than 400,000 orders within < 3 years of time. I'm not expecting the those many orders in 1 year but somewhat close to 30K-50K orders in 1st year. Also want to know how competitive this niche is? Will it be tough & time taking to rank high in search engine? Or PPC will be a better option? Plzz suggest your options.
I would like to always recommend Google Adwords , and classified posting , we are getting decent customers from those methods , hope it will help too.
Yes there's room, there's been a lot of clones dropping out in the past year, go with a unique style though & not one of the shitty scripts - clones that they sell of fiverr. Keep the projects of high quality & monitor the other ones - because a lot of the sellers are using multiple micro sites & spamming their jobs. Once you've been to several of these sites you will see a lot of repetition - I've looked at many as a buyer of services & closed the site down when I see the same rehashed shit... so keep a high standard & don't let the spammers in, not even to get jobs on your site, as many like me will turn away from your site. Sooo go with high quality offers, get a unique design, don't let anyone post jobs, keep an eye on competitors listings. I'd also go with app' installs, iTunes, Google Play & Facebook games - a lot of people will pay 50cents to $5 for quality users of their apps - I pay at least 50cents per user on my app's - that's using Facebook ad's though. There's a huge market if you can tap into mobile & app's.
thanks for info actually i'm going to develop it rather using clone scripts. so can I expect the results within a 6 months - 1 year?
It will take a while to built up a good reputation. You might want to try offering gigs for a specialized niche or find some way to set yourself apart. This is a competitive but potentially thriving business.
Depends, if you sit there just waiting for it to happen, it could take a while, but if you advertise it correctly - then it could thrive within 6 months. It comes down to the quality of your workers & quality of the work on offer. Facebook page promoters seem to be the most annoying... where they sell ad's on their pages - there's a few of these guys spamming on every micro job site. You also need to offer a fast approval time, I've waited for days on some sites to get my jobs listed & by the time of acceptance - the campaign doesn't match or suit the gig any more.
