Competing Pages and Multiple Landing Pages? Please help!

I've noticed that I have a few competiting pages.

What is the best way to fix this? I realize it might just take soem reorganizaiton, but does Google adjust to it quickly?

Also -- if I have two pages, can they cancel each other out and both NOT rank high ??

I have a few terms I am shocked that I am not ranking higher for... I am in an easy niche and have done a TON of backlink work.

Lastly -- lets say I want to rank for 9 keywords.

Would it be wise to create 3 landing pages, each optimized for 3 words?

What is the best way to organize it?

 

It answer will depend on what the 9 words are. Also, it would help if you gave us the URL.

 

In SEO it is good to target less competing pages for you, because it is more easy to rank on SERPS.

 

I am sorry I cannot give you the terms. But lets say they are all under 50,000 in google competition.
