Competing ads on one site?

Are there any draw backs to promoting several different advertisers on one site, or should I just advertise one advertiser per site?

Right now I am running several ads on one of my sites, and although I don't believe that this is a violation, I was wondering if this is in poor taste, or just not a good business model in general.

Any advice would rock - thanks!

No it's fine to promote multiple advertisers on one site. Just be aware that if you advertise too many on the same page it can create confusion or too many options and the visitor may not buy anything.

To add .. it depends on what kind of site is it.. if it's a review landing page then of course, however if you have a dedicated page for that niche.. they may be 2 competitives the max.

As long as you don't create customer confusion.

Multiple advertisers work well if they are not competing, they can also work well on review sites.

Too many ads is distracting and can work against you. It's really about finding a nice balance you can get behind and effectively promote.
