Which one do you think is better Moneybookers or 2CO : Compare on these: - Charges per transaction and overall costs - Limits placed on money withdraw - Verification methods (Needs SSN, freezes account for no reason) - Coverage area/countries of payment - Customer service (available in US?, how quick, how professional?) I am stuck between the two choices, your inputs required. Thanks Redraider
2Checkout and Moneybookers serves different markets. 2Checkout as the name states is really a 3rd party payment processor. It is a one-way service meaning that you use them as a payment processor and then they send the money to you to your bank account and that's pretty much end of the deal here. Moneybookers on the other hand, does have a shopping cart service and the money you earn in the account can be kept in moneybookers where you can spend it by dealing with other moneybookers members. 2Checkout has a rather simple rate simple http://www.2checkout.com/rates.htm One time $49/per store and 5.5% + $0.45 per transaction. Moneybookers is a little more complicating. If you use the Email Pay system where people logs in and then do a Pay (like in Paypal), they pay 1% or up to Eur $0.50 and as a merchant you pay nothing. If however, you use a shopping cart then you pay 2% if they pay you using existing Moneybookers fund and 8% if they use a credit card. http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=m_fees 2Checkout does not verify your account per say but since they bill you $49, they will know your account is approved. Besides since it is a Receive-only service, the onus is really on your customers which they may contact to verify if the transaction is what they made. As for coverage, as long as there is no trade embargo it should work. 2Checkout only accepts Credit Card Payments while Moneybookers can accept Credit Cards + Moneybookers funds. 2Checkout is based in the US and MOneybookers is from Europe.
Moneybookers gives the customer many hoops to jump through before a payment can be made. Not ideal if you're looking for a streamlined ordering process. ~ Sirius Lin
Thanks, I am currently using paypal and so I do have a shopping cart option. A lot of the members who are from pakistan etc, cannt use their credit cards via paypal, so i was planning to give them another option. Looks like 2CO is the winner pretty much for lower rates. Thanks again !
