Compare 2 Designs

Which design do you like best?

Here is the original design sent to me:

Obviously, the sidebar isn't finished yet on the modified version. I'm just starting to get the hang of photoshop, and decided to make some color revisions to the design. I also attempted to clean the design up a bit (get rid of some borders, move around a few pieces, etc.)

So, did I totally screw it up, or does it look better? I'd like to hear it from others.

 

I think the previous design actually looks better compared to the modified one. It has a clear border to define each and every column. Try to finish up the modified one and let's see how it goes.

Yes, they are nearly the same.
Your modified template is not finished . So the original look better.

 

they look quite similar to me, but the original does look a little bit tidier.
maybe its because of the sidebar.

 

I think the layout in the original is slightly better than that of the modified version.

Stick with the original version. It looks neat and crisp. The modified version looks like a comic book.
