I'm in the process of creating a company. I have a few websites which are generating money through ads and subscriptions. So basically the company manages these websites. I've come up with a name for the company (Lets say its Ascari). Anyways I want to follow that word with something related to my type of web company. For example "Ascari Web Services" or "Ascari Media". Any suggestions as to what I could/should use? Thanks!
The names I have been considering so far are: Ascari Media Ascari Digital Ascari Web Services Ascari Web Solutions But Im not sure if any of these actually suit the type of company I will have. Is there anything else I could use?
Just call it Ascari LLC. (or Inc or GMBH or however you register it). That way you wont be limited to anything and you will be able to expand and create any service under it. Edit: Some other options: Ascari Solutions, Ascari Studios, Ascari Network etc
Yeh, if you look at many of the large brands out there, it's usually one name and the name doesn't give away their business type. ie: Apple, Google, Instagram, Twitter, Swivl, This is useful for marketing as well as any other future ventures you might take on in the future. The name is usually created for brand remembrance and is unrelated to the product being promoted. Remember you can create sub brands if you want to get more specific later with each of your brands. Doing this under one umbrella will save you allot of time and hassle when it comes to registering names, so i'd stick with one recognisable name that people will associate with reliability and excellence.
im not promoting any company here, but i found this website to be fantastic, and have used it for a number of clients for only 35 dollars you get a large amount of domain names which are free and available, the company is called name station http://www.namestation.com/ But make sure you fill out as much information about what is important to your company before you run the competition good luck
I think "Ascari Media" sounds very good and professional It is short&sweet. A name you can remember very easy. If you are not okay with it - just keep brainstorming - sometimes the name finds you ... so it's worth the patience...
My advice: business names where your actual name is in the title are completely AWFUL. Make the name general and sound like a big corporation. Example: Home Depot: Awesome Peters Home Supplies: Awful Good luck!
Thoughts: Ascari is know for its cars, may be hard for people to find you online as well. Do a Domain search and see what suggestions they give and what is available. Is this a public company in terms that you will have clients? as you Can have a Business Name and Trading Name... Suggestions: Ascari Metro Ascari Networks Ascaris (Ascaris is a genus of parasitic nematode worms - Your Sites could be your army of worms)
It doesn't matter if it is or isn't in relation to what I pointed out. As I was stating there is much existing content on-line with that name. Would suggest a more unique name...
Agreed, although how many people type in a full name these days when searching... I am guessing Ascari is his Family Name, Italian it would seem. My opinion would be to select a different name, one easier to spell from hearing it, especially if it will have two words.
Think of who you will be promoting yourself and your business to and that will determine the type of name you should have. it sounds like you sell advertising, so think what potential advertisers would like to see. They'd want to make sure they're getting what they're paying for, that you are an experienced trade provider and have specialized in your field. WebAds or something similar might convey the image that you want to portray better than an anonymous name.
What i think you can use abriviation to keep company name like (Ascari Web Service and Markeketing - AWSM).
