    hi

if a name has a trademark and you want to refer to something they own, how do you add the 's? Company Name'sâ„¢ or Company Nameâ„¢'s

    thanks

Strictly speaking, neither is correct. A trademark is a adjective, so using it as a possessive noun is incorrect. For example, if you are writing about cars, it would be correct to say "the Toyotaâ„¢ Camryâ„¢" but not to say "Toyotaâ„¢'s Camryâ„¢". In the latter case, you are referring to the Company's name (which happens to identical to the trademark but is NOT the trademark). It would be correct, however, to say "Toyota's Camryâ„¢" with the â„¢ symbol.

thanks for the comments. In your example you've used two TM words. If we were writing "Toyota's reputation" I take it we'll drop the â„¢ as this is a company name not a TM in this context, is that correct?
