Company has taken my money and will not reply

I paid this company http://melhor.co.in $625 last year in October to do a project for me. There was some problems at their end and the work was not done. They offered to refund the money and then never replied after that.

I can't get through to them on their phone number or email address.

So they have basically stolen $625 from me and I am trying to get it back.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Woah, I have finally got through to the number after weeks of trying. The guy I was dealing with is aparently on holiday. hmm. He will be back in a few days, so we will see.

 

I had a similar problem with a different company. They wouldn't reply to emails and the phone number stopped working.

I got a local solicitors to write them a letter saying they would be taken to court and then they contacted me a week later and refunded the money in full.

Everything was going fine before the problems. They didn't seem like a bad company.

The problem is that they are based in India, so it is difficult to deal with.

 

How did you pay them?

 

Why don't you do a charge back via paypal and CC.
It will surely help you recover your money.

 

I paid them by bank transfer.
