Hello qwikad Champion of the Naaru!

Hey, there you go! I hadn't mentioned classified ads yet. I have had classifieds on my site forever.

In my town classifieds are a little tricky, though. People here don't want to actually pay to advertise that way on my site, but then on the other hand, my classified section is one of the most viewed on the entire site. I haven't really focused on how exactly is the way to make money with them, but then it sort of goes to the point of the next comment by sladewiristianti....

    Thanks for the comment qwikad!

    Hello sladewiristianti!

Sladewiristianti, you have hit on a GREAT point here. Because a good community site will nearly always get better PR than a similar national or global site, it is a GREAT and powerful platform to link from. I do it ALL the time. When I create a new website, the first thing I do is to link from my community site to it, usually from the index page. A good PR local community site gives good link juice to whatever you are linking to. That has been a long time strategy of mine.

And I will go you one better. Well SEO'd internal pages on a local community website are easier to get PR for too.

Boy, the replies have been getting better and better on the reason why a local community website is a good thing!

For the readers, and there have been many who have not commented, when you're ready to start your own powerhouse community site, then let me help.
