Community Portal - Come Join us!

I started up this new community portal for just writing whatever you want. anyone can register and post whatever they want. It's a place where people can just post whatever, for the community. A couple people have already started posting on it and I'm encouraging everyone to help post on it. no ads or anything, just a community portal.

also, it's running the latest SVN RC release of Wordpress 2.0 so you can see what all the new features are and all that fun stuff.

What it is the objective of this website?

The home page only have a graphic in the header and nothing of content or logo ... :-o

 

The point of this website is to be a project. It's to see if people will get involved and start up the community portal. It's a site where anyone is allowed to post and anyone is allowed to register. It's just a project to see how it turns out and see how involved the community gets. It's worth a shot, so give it a try and post a couple =)

Are the drop down menus on the side going to be the standard for wordpress?

This would be annoying for the categories function. By default the category selection should be open since virtually every post is put into a different category.

 

Yes, everything in this blog is default stock for Wordpress, as it is the latest beta of the newest version that is going to be released within the next week.

 

Actually I just figured out. Once you leave the category menu down it will automatically appear down in your next session. Thats pretty cool.

 

It's a blog - where everyone has access to it - hmmm spam city I think it could end up with if your not careful on moderating posts and comments.

 

It has very active moderators and authors, I make sure to watch for spam. Thank you for your recommendations though.

There are a lot of new features that are pretty sweet. I've been enjoying the 2.0 beta release so far, I look forward to the final release. What's also really nice is that almost all the plugins work from 1.5 and themes too, which makes it even nicer. Lots of new features with equal compatibility.
