I am going to make a facebook page for my website http://www.forum.thevietnamguide.com/ but I don't know if anyone has ever choose a community page for his website instead of offical page? And one more thing, is offical page the fan page you say?
In principle it doesn't really matter whether you register your website's fan page under the heading of "community page" or " official page". Whatever you choose doesn't impact your SEO. Both option suite your website. Defining your website fan page as a "community page" emphasizes the aspect of your website being a community service. And defining your website fan page as an "official page", make's your website look like a trademark. For purposes of PR I would personally define the fan page as an "official page".
what is the technical difference between them? I already know community page is held and adopted by community and offical page is maitainced by it 's founder.
I just had a look at facebooks specifications about the difference between official page and community page. Here is a quote from facebook: "Generate support for your favorite cause or topic by creating a Community Page. If it becomes very popular (attracting thousands of fans), it will be adopted and maintained by the Facebook community." That is – if you create a community page then facebook will help you promote it and maintain it. I think you could qualify for a community page.
