I think phpfox is the best software for social networking.

 

I've tried phpiZabi and honestly thought it was HORRENDOUS. I mean, the code is terrible, they have tons of templates and you can't figure out what is what. I'll never use it again.

 

i have used phpfox on my students community site and its fine with it you can use phpfox. you can pay with paypal there and also get some discount prices.They can consider it.
all you have to do is request them...

I tested Dzoic, looking good in DEMO but requires dedicated hosting for uploading MUSIC and VIDEO.

I am also looking and someone told me about iscripts socialware. I have not used it but the demo looks good and its just $99.00.

I have used vldpersonals and it is also $99.00 but remember you really get what you pay for.
