Is it worth purchasing the subscription for the documentation at Joomlapolis? Some say 'yes' and some say 'no,' I'd like to hear any of your experiences.

No, you don't really need it. Community Builder is pretty easy to learn by yourself.

But if you ever do run into any problems there is practically no support unless your a docs subscriber.

    I Agree!
If you have installed Community Builder before and use it effectively, then dont worry about it, you will know most of what they say in the manual.
But if you need to learn how to use it a lot faster because you want to get your site running quicker, or you are doing this work for a client, I suggest you buy it!

    Cheers
