commissions

    I'm testing the commissions.

In September commissions showed up immediately under "commission history" (non were unpaid).

When the month changed to October, they don't show up at all.

That should not affect it. Although none should show unless they WERE unpaid (you are talking about "Pay Commissions" under Maintenance & Preferences, right?)

    No,
I never got to the "pay commissions".
I'd just put a new customer in and it would show up under the web interface for that salesperson.
Now, (no changes except a few days later) they don't show at all.

Check under the Pay Commissions to see if they show there. That is where it would be pulling from for the salesperson web interface.

    Just tried this again.
Signed up via web interface as "newcustomer".
Logged in via web interface as salesperson (mediademo).
"newcustomer" shows up under "Commission History".
There is nothing under "Unpaid Commissions"

    The salesperson is "mediademo".
    The login is "mediademo"
    "mediademo" is also a customer.
    Same name and login.

Do they show up under the "Pay Commissions" section under Maintenance & Preferences?

Okay, on that same screen, does the salesperson in question show up in the drop-down list of Salespeople?

Yes, they show up and they are the only salesperson.

I've been looking at their "customer" account.
It was created and expires on the same date.
    Is this correct?
I'm testing without the requirement of any credit cards or other payment type.

The dates of the customer record wouldn't matter, but them being the same is normal if they have not paid yet.

Has the salesperson's name changed? Double check that the salesperson name under Edit Salespeople matches exactly as it is on the customer records (and invoices). Check for extra spaces or anything else that might not be seen visually.

Looked for trailing spaces, name match etc.

    Double Checking here:

    Under Employee-
    Name: mediademo
    Login: mediademo

    Under Salespeople-
    Name: mediademo
    Login: mediademo

    Under Customer-
    Login: mediademo
    First, Last: Media Demo

    Under Products-
    Specific Class: blank

The attachment shows the salesperson screen.

Did you verify the Salesperson on the invoices and customers that the invoices belong to?

    All invoices verified.
    Here's more screen shots.
    I've read, re-read, checked, re-checked.
I still must be missing something.

Well one thing I notice right away is the invoice you are showing me isn't due for a commission payment (it hasn't been paid yet).

    OK,
    That makes sense.

But, they are showing up under "commission history" and not under "unpaid".

I'll go in and "pay" all of the invoices and see what happens.

    Thanks

    I'm closer.
"Paid" the invoces and now commissions show up in the "pay commissions" screen.

Salesperson is set at 50% commission.
    Salesperson has a customer account.
Sales show up under the proper salesperson.
    Commissions are $0.00.

Have you overridden the commissions on a per product basis? Specifically the product(s) on the invoice?

Also, what's the Days To Pay set to on the salesperson?

    I've purged the system.
Deleted all employees, customers, invoices, offer codes, etc.
    Starting all over.

    employee is "johndoe"
    johndoe has a customer account
    (same login "johndoe" for both)

offer code is "DOE", commission is 50%

I go to the web, sign up a new customer.
    Customer is accepted.
I paid his invoce (#1) with cash, it is now closed.

Salesperson goes to web, logs in.
Customer commission is under BOTH "history" and "unpaid".
Product price is correct, commission is "$0.00"

OG workstation "pay commissions" shows invoice, commission still $0.00.

    ??
    Here's the screen shots.
