It depends on your traffic. If you have targeted quality ones then you can make $100 daily with a much less amount of traffics compared to adsense to make the same amount.

I think that pretty much says it all. Would you rather go after thousands of daily visitors in the hope of a couple of bucks in clicks via AdSense, or maybe dozens of visitors, of whom perhaps two or three will buy something through your site, earning you $5-10$-$100, using CJ or similar? There's no competition for me, through EPN I earn more monthly than I have in two years of using AdSense - I rest my case.

Asking this question is like comparing apples and oranges. They are two completely different networks offering two very different services/sources of income.

I make good money with cj, and if something were to happen with cj. I really don't have to worry because adsense will back me up. Both are good, CJ appeals to my nich sites and adsense appeals to people who haven't found what they need or like on my site. Win win to have both. But then I also go with Linkshare, partnerweekly and xy7. So really, I have my a** covered JIC.

AdSense is much easier to make money with. But if you can promote CJ right, it will pay a lot more than AdSense.

50 clicks in adsense will make you $20. 50 clicks in CJ will potetionally make you $100's depending on your niche. In my niche 50 clicks will get me about $200 dollars.

Depending on the niche of your site, but adsense in some areas for me, consistently pays $.70 to $1.10 per click.

However, overall, EPN and many CJ merchants have made a LOT more in the long run.

i think for a niche site cj is better as it can give targetted visitor who are very much likely to buy. but adsence can be used for general site along with cj

If your visitors have cash that they want to spend on your niche go with cj, if they are broke go with Adsense.

I don't really see the point of using AdSense on a page you are trying to SELL something off. I mean, you want them to buy the thing for a $20 commission, or whatever, not click the measly ad for $0.05, right?

I guess there is an argument for "catching" some of those visitors who have no intention of buying, maybe by putting AdSense in the footer or something... And it's interesting to note that Amazon and eBay have some kind of PPC ads on them - wonder how that makes sense for them...

I wondered about Amazon and eBay, too. Which is why I asked about it.
