Does CJ review your site first, before you are accepted into the program, or is it like Clickbank and you are accepted right away?

It varies between advertisers. Some have 100% approval meaning that you're automatically accepted, others will have certain criteria. They're usually pretty speedy in approving/denying your site. If you get denied you can upadte your site and re-apply.

Dunno. I tried CJ and kept getting rejected by advertisers. I don't really know why since the feedback isn't clear. It's maybe this / maybe that.

Mmm. I can't make much of CJ at the moment. Any ideas?

    some advertisers do some don't

sometimes you get approved right away, and sometimes you can wait for a week for someone to approve/deny

for instance, i have a website dslreviews.com and i apply to Verizon DSL at least few times and yet still nothing from them, other then deny.. why? god probably doesn't know either.. while all other ISP accept me without any problems.. sometimes I think it's stupid for advertiser not to approve you as what is the purpose of puting yourself on CJ and some publisher wants to publish your ads and you deny him of doing so....

that makes no sense for me.. but maybe it's just me...

Merchants usually checks the websites of those who apply to their program. Some of the things they check are your site and demographics.
