Commission junction and Joomla / Mambo

    Hiya,

I signed up with CJ the other day and use on a couple of site including this one which a Joomla incarnation.

When I add an advertiser's banner to the built-in banner component I do the following:

    - save the banner to my C drive
    - upload same to server
    - set up new banner with on-click URL and banner as above

This method however seems to prevent clicks being counted with the CJ control panel. Joomla reports 15 clicks for yesterday but the CJ panel says 1.

Is this because I am not using the url to retrieve the banner automatically?
Or is it because of the way the banner component is designed within Joomla?

Would this cause a problem if the click then generated a sale?

I have reverted to having a static banner for the moment but would really like to have the rotating banners back up asap.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Charles

of course it dosnt counts, because you have to link direct to the bannerserver.
but you should get your commision for each sale.
