Hi all. I joined CJ a few days ago, and just enrolled in the Ebay affiliate program at CJ--that is, through the CJ interface. I noticed this is an affiliate program for "Ebay Stores". Then I went to the Ebay Affiliate Program at the Ebay website, and it looks like something different. It provides you the option to join the affiliate program, and mentions that this is administrated by CJ. My question is, is this the same affiliate program? I mean, is the affiliate program you sign up for at the Ebay website the same as the one you can sign up in directly from the CJ interface? Part of the reason I ask is because all of the links you can get in the CJ interface are promoting the "Ebay Stores". At the affiliate program section of the Ebay website, you can make commissions off of referalls that result in sales of products. I'm more interested in getting commissions for referrals that result in sales than I am in getting people to sign up for new stores, because this goes along with my site theme much better. Thanks, Gregg
I just figured out that these are two separate programs. There's an "Ebay Stores" affiliate program, and an "Ebay" affiliate program. The "Ebay" affiliate program is the one that gives you access to all the affiliate tools at the Ebay website. I noticed that the regular Ebay affiliate program has a very low EPC at CJ. Could anyone comment to this, or to the success they've had with the Ebay affiliate program versus the Ebay Stores affiliate program? Thanks again, Gregg
I would recommend using BANS to market Ebay via Commission Junction. Works well and is easy to use. Good Luck
It's good as a supplamental campaign but unless you have some solid bans sites set up, you'll want to go for something else higher paying in the interim. I have found ebay to be a critical support for my commissions and when other things are slow, it has a way of filling in the gap. Once the cookie is set, you can also get paid commissions for some really great sales - like used cars, etc...
