Commision for Kindle ebooks?

Discussion in 'Amazon' started by bob25, Jun 2, 2012.

Will I get a commission for a Kindle ebook? I mean for the actual ebook not some other product. I think I remember reading some wireless products won't earn commissions.

    Thanks

You can use Amazon Kindle Publishing to publish ebooks.

$10 is the minimum for direct deposit (US only) or $100 minimum for check (international).

You can try to make amazon affiliate and promote ebooks. I know you can get commission to that.

According to Amazon's page on Kindle product commissions you can earn up to 8.5%.

Some Kindle downloads are excluded but IIRC they will be marked as such in Associates Central.

Agree with nihangshah's recommendation. I have earned more than $100 publishing my own book on Kindle.

Highly recommended if you have your own information products!

@nihangshah - IIRC is an acronym that stands for "if I remember correctly." Here's a screenshot from a few minutes ago show commissions for Kindle downloads from my account.

It depends on WHO is buying the kindle books! Suppose the kindle book is 1.99 or 2.99 sometimes those kindle books are offered for free to Amazon prime members. So if a prime member is buying those 0$ ebooks you would not get any commissions.

Yes of course you can't forget about prime members or Audible trials screwing you on commissions for audio books and ebooks. Promoting them as ancillary products is fine but I doubt you'll make much if they are the primary products that you promote.
