Yes, I see the results of the super duper hi tech technique of spam hunting that I posted on your blog working (or maybe it's just a coincidence). However the comment was deleted. BTW Welcome to DP.
Just a comment about the original question... Just because someone doesn't respond to you personally, or publicly acknowledge they read your comment/email/posts (or whatever the case may be), it doesn't mean it's not read and taken into account. It happens to me (although I'm sure on a much smaller scale than Matt). I get hundreds of correspondences each day that I read, but don't have the time to respond to individually (site spam reports, reported posts in this forum, etc, etc.) Imagine if it were your job to work at Google and write a personal response back for every one. Not only would that be impossible, it would be one hell of a suck-ass job, and you would never get anything done.
Well, I think it's obvious. Either that reference to borg a couple days ago meant more than we thought it did, or he has Marissa helping him with the actual work. -Michael PS - Anyone know if Marissa is single...? She's a cutie.
His comment policy seems to suggest that he wants to use his blog as a blog - as opposed to a spam reporting tool/webmaster agony column. http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/guidelines-for-comments-march-24-2006/
In that case Matt, this thread would frustrate you even more - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=97090
