Half the blog posts go off topic but still remain. If you are just sick of seeing the same spam posts then just say so.

Maybe it would ease the frustration and building anger many webmasters are feeling.

People still don't understand this extremely vague comment.

"I believe any changes on the 27th were refreshing data used by an existing algorithm"

Altough the guy never responded personally to any of my comments with questions or info (I believe he did respond to one, today), he never deleted my comments.

    And some were pretty nasty.

Expertu, I've seen your questions and comments and I've never seen anything nasty - just good well put questions. There's so many hangers on, that these sometimes just swomp over good, well written questions.

gcc llc, that just means that it's not a new algorithm. It will be perceived as a big change to some people, but most people won't notice much difference. And that algorithm is refreshed with new data we compute every few weeks. Hope that makes sense.

    Heck that makes no sense!

Most people won't notice a difference? Sheesh.. I'd beg to differ.

You have much catching up to do Matt. Better get that sleep you talked about. You have a long week ahead of you if you want to come up with a better response to what's happening then that.

Expertu just so you know for whatever reason your posts are caught by akismet on my blog as spam. I have to manually approve them. I am guessing you have that problem anywhere you post a comment that people are using akismet.

I'm not arse kissing Pete ;) but I've noticed no difference to the SERPs on or after the 27th - but I can understand why people are getting disillusioned and upset, when it comes down to it, it's people livelyhoods that are being affected.

I've lost another 20 pages today which had original content on which weren't spammy at all.

    Completely clean and natural content.

There is no reason for these pages to be removed.

Just like there's no reason other pages of mine have been removed while another site managed to copy certain articles verbatim and remain indexed.

Disillusioned and upset is an understatement Darren. :)

Why am I bothering to put new content on everyday when most of it just ends up out of the index? I don't know wether to laugh or cry. :)

My initial de-indexing begun happening a few weeks after everyone elses did - I assume during one of the 'refreshes' of this particulary algorythm. It has gone up, down, up and down.. and down.... and down.. and probably down again most likely.

Sheesh I need a cuppa, then over to Syndik8 I go to begin my career in the world of black hat as this is what Google and Matts vague comments are driving me to (Matt, give us a clue.. what can I DO?!). Either reward me for producing quality content and a site full of it or I shall use whatever means I can to make money exploiting your engine as what I'm doing at the moment obviously isn't going to get me anywhere.

If a million other webmasters don't feel the way I do I'll eat my white hat.

Yeah I get that too with some of my friends, posting on my blog .. Akismet always caughts them, altough I always mark them as not spam.

But what I said above is that all my comments are there, not that they were deleted or missing :)
