    Most of the weblogs have ping service installed that can tell the Google or similar site each time the contents are updated. Otherwise you can ping that url intentionally.

    You can ping the links you've created and it's supposed to help Google locate your backlinks quickly. However, the best way is to let Google naturally crawl the site and find your links.
