Many, perhaps all of you have seen this crap, but it really makes me angry:
    cheap online pharmacy

    Trusted pharmacy! http://ras.man.poznan.pl/jira/browse/MD-191 >buy alprazolam http://cheapxanax.yelp.com >cheap xanax http://www.uga.edu/lambda-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi/YaBB.cgi?board=Chat;action=d... >buy tenuate http://wiki.list.org/display/~fredericko >xanax without prescription http://wiki.list.org/display/~enricko >xanax 2mg

This is one comment of many on this do follow blog. As you will note the "comment" has nothing to do with the article, which had to do with political polling. My question is "do you comment on these blogs - those that allow 50 plus pages of 50 comments which are just cialis, diazapam link bombs? The blog apparently doesn't care, does a link here count as much as a link in a legitimate comment section where there are only 1-40 or so comments?
No wonder most blogs are no follow? These creeps are just wasting everyones time but they do get a link, lots of them.

It is really annoying when spammers like that ruin it for the rest of us. I never waste my time on commenting when there are more than like 20 comments or so.

I don't waste my time getting links from sites that link a lot to pharma, gambling or adult sites. Chances are that these sites do not pass any weight due to spamming.

I've even seen "keywords used as names" on NoFollow blogs. Even if the blog is DoFollow, I think it's disrespectful to do the "keyword as name" thing on someone's blog.

Yea, don't waste your time commenting on those useless blogs, Google just sees those as something similar to a link farm

This is why I am incredibly uptight about comments on my own blog, if it doesn't add to the discussion why should I give them a dofollow link when i am spending so much time building my own backlinks?

I understand your position. Since I have been looking for related do follow blogs, they are fairly few and far between. I have only run into a half dozen of these sites that are simply letting any post go through and another couple I saw today had nothing but links 8-15 per post with the names being gibberish - sjinnesnseisn or some nonsense. I am sure the other moderated blogs use akismet and filter like crazy to keep these "people" off their comment list as it does look really bad for the blog. I didn't want to post a comment even though it was obvious it would be accepted as everything was and the vultures were feeding. Sad for the blog owners, the commenters as well as the readers.
