Those of you who manually post on blogs to get backlinks, how many comments per day, week, or month do you feel are enough to be help you site with pr and or traffic. What strategy are you using in regard to forum posting that has proven to have build traffic and or pagerank, For example I read were someone recommended you answer 12 forum post a day and start one new thread a day.
I use to do blog commenting when I started out, but I've found it's not the most effective use of my time. You would do much better just using Angela's and Paul's backlinks.
Are you kidding me?? Angela's and Paul's method hardly helps. Most of the times the page where your link is placed is not even crawled, leave behind the indexing thing.
I think blog commenting is only smart if you actually have something to add to the conversation and if the blog is relevant to your business.
I never do blog commenting in order to gain backlinks. I do it to build a relationship and to add value to the conversation (or at least I try to add value). When you comment on a regular basis on a few blogs, you can get a lot of traffic. That's because people recognize you and the value you're adding. Think about it. Most of the blogs I'm commenting on have several hundred readers each day, and some have several thousand. When they see your face and name over and over again, some day they'll be visiting your blog over and over again So, I'm not looking for new blogs to comment on, but that might work as well.
Well said. Always be sure you are adding value to the blog or you are wasting your time. And only do it if they are related to the site you are backlinking!

Well,I think it doesn't matter what the number of comment is.Sometimes, you think the blog is interesting or useful, and then leave your comments. This is also a kind of support. If you do want to get more backlinks, commenting on blogs is just a kind of way.Even some blogs do not support links.I still prefer to communicate in the forums. Here you can give others help and ask help from others. If someone is interested in you, they can visit your website through your signature.
Blog commenting is not effective for gaining backlinks, but instead traffic. Blog comments get deleted for spam, which most any comment promoting another site will seem to be. They are good for engaging conversation and getting people interested in what you're talking about. But again, if a blogger sees a link, their spam whistles go off, and your comment goes away.
Giving quality blog comments is the best thing to do when you do blog commenting. You can use your targeted keyword instead of name and the blogger will still approve your blog comment because its sensible, related to the blog posts and with conviction. Looking for blog posts that has a PR really helps.
Yes definitely blog commenting will really help you in increasing PR and get traffic. You should post about 50 comments daily on different blogs. But dont spam because your all work will be vanished by the deletion of your comments. So always post value able comments.
where do you guys get dofollow blogs with high PR? All lists I've seen on the net are outdated and many blogs apply nofollow. I think it's a good way to advertise blog by saying it's dofollow.
As far as I know blog comments should be pretty helpful in seo because quality blog commenting service is quite expensive.
From commenting in forums my PR went from 0 to 2, so it does help. As far as relative difficulty...it's a lot easier to do a post than to do SEO. I've been working on SEO on my site for sometime only to fall back a few pages when I removed a couple paragraphs from one of my pages. The traffic I get from referred links are more consistent than the traffic I get from the SEO work I've done.
